  14. I have won a £20,000, £1,000 or £500 cash prize. How and when will I receive my prize?

Congratulations on winning a cash prize in the Sweetstake!

If you are a winner of a £20,000, £1000 or £500 cash prize, you will need to post your pack, along with your address and phone number, to the freepost address supplied at time of win (you will also receive an email with this information). On validation of your prize claim, you will be contacted by phone to request your bank details so that your prize can be paid by bank transfer within 28 days. At this time, it is not possible to provide winners of a £20,000, £1,000 or £500 cash prize with the ability to request to receive their prize by cheque (since requiring winner to visit their  bank to cash their cheque  would be contrary to government recommendations against making non-essential trips). In the event that the current Coronavirus guidelines are relaxed during the promotional period, the Promoter will consider offering alternative prize payment methods.

If you are a winner of a cash prize and have any questions about how you will receive payment, or your prize has not arrived within 28 days, please do get in touch with us at sweetstake@responsehandlingteam.co.uk. We will aim to get back to you within 2 working days.

  15. I have won a £20 or £5 cash prize. How and when will I receive my prize?

Congratulations on winning a cash prize in the Sweetstake!

Winners of £20 or £5 cash prizes are not required to send their pack to validate their prize claim and, instead, will receive an email with a link to the claim form immediately on notification as a winner. £20 and £5 cash prizes will be paid by bank transfer within 28 days. 16. I have won a free pack. How and where can I claim this?

Congratulations on winning a free product prize in the Sweetstake!

You will be sent an email containing a unique link which will allow you to print off your free pack coupon. Once printed you will have 30 days to redeem your coupon at a participating retailer. However, the link to the coupon will remain valid until 31 May 2021. Given the current Coronavirus guidelines instructing UK consumers not to make non-essential trips to shops, the Promoter recommends that winners of free pack coupons retain the email with the link to the coupon and print (and redeem) the coupon when Coronavirus-related government guidelines have been relaxed. If a winner wishes to use the coupon sooner, please only do so as part of your essential weekly food shopping and avoid making a non-essential trip to redeem the coupon, contrary to current government guidelines.

A prize coupon can be redeemed against a free pack of MARS, REVELS, M&M's, GALAXY MINSTRELS, MALTESERS, TWIX, GALAXY RIPPLE, SNICKERS, STARBURST, SKITTLES and WRIGLEY'S EXTRA up to the value of £1 at participating retailers (at the retailers’ discretion), subject to product availability at the time of use of the coupon. One voucher per transaction. More terms and conditions are provided on the coupon.

We are sorry to hear this. Please do get in touch with us at sweetstake@responsehandlingteam.co.uk. We will aim to get back to you within 2 working days.

  18. Tell me about the charity donations that Mars is making

We will be donating £500,000 to the National Emergencies Trust (NET). As a consequence of the Coronavirus outbreak, many people are suffering. The National Emergencies Trust will channel the money raised to local Community Foundations and other charities so that people who need it most can get vital support as quickly as possible.

    National Emergencies Trust

National Emergencies Trust (a registered charity in England and Wales, 1182809)

The National Emergencies Trust is an independent charity that collaborates with charities and other bodies to raise and distribute money at the time of a domestic disaster. The Trust was established in November 2019 in response to a Charity Commission recommendation following a series of UK emergencies in 2017.

Why are they important during the Coronavirus pandemic?

The National Emergencies Trust, in partnership with the British Red Cross, has launched a fundraising appeal to help those most affected by the recent coronavirus outbreak across the UK. The appeal is raising and distributing funds to organisations that can provide vital support to people in the quickest way possible. Whilst only registered as a charity in England and Wales, funds from NET's coronavirus appeal will be distributed across all areas of the UK, including Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Ways in which funds from the appeal will help people include:

    • Getting food to people who are isolated and in greatest need
    • Protecting our most vulnerable children while schools are closed
    • Helping people who have recently left hospital to recover at home
    • Supporting people with their mental wellbeing
    • Helping people who are struggling with debt

How will NET and Sweetstake link together?

For each prize claimed by a winner in our Sweetstake promotion, we will be making a donation of the same value to National Emergencies Trust, until we have reached our target donation of £500,000. Cash prizes will be matched at the same value, whereas "free pack" prizes will generate a £1 donation (matching the maximum redemption value of the coupon provided to winners). This £500,000 donation will go to NET, to allocate to local charities and grassroots organisations who are supporting individuals and communities affected by the Coronavirus outbreak. In the event the total donation generated by the Sweetstake promotion does not reach the target amount of £500,000, Mars Wrigley Confectionery UK Limited will make up the shortfall.
